Kroll Ontrack has years of experience with the extraction of data from different media and file systems.
Kroll Ontrack's extraction service can retrieve a file or set of files based on specific criteria (name, application, type…) and copying onto a media usually a USB drive

Tape Extraction Scenarios

There are several scenarios which would require the extraction of data from tapes.

• Restoring deleted or archived files.

Critical data has been accidentally or voluntarily deleted.

• Investigation

Files related to a law case need to be accessed.

• Loss of critical application.

A critical business application was not installed onto the new system. Installation and execution files have been archived on tapes.
