Offices around the world are facing an increasing necessity for improved data security and efficient
data recovery programs for offsite data, it has been claimed.
Virat Chadha, pre-sales specialist of Johannesburg-based solutions and services company Faritec, has said that the ability to centrally manage information and bring together disparate data volumes from different site is a requirement in improving data security and recoverability.
He noted that the facility to restore data stored at remote locations is of primary concern to resource-limited enterprises.
"Without effective data recovery and availability, firms face operational risk which can compromise their enterprise remote office productivity, impact time to market, supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction," commented Mr Chadha.
And in related news, research recently carried out by Capscan has shown that six per cent of heads of IT in the UK feel that improving data accuracy is of key importance in maintaining data quality management for a business.
