A new conference tackling topics such as virtualisation and storage solutions, as well as an array of other issues, is set to be held early next year.

News website venues.org.uk has confirmed that the Data Centre World Conference and Expo is set to take place on February 24th and 25th 2009 in London.

Speakers at the event include Jim De Haven from Cisco, as well as Hitachi Data Systems and the Digital Reality Trust.

"The aim of the event is to bring together buyers, vendors, channel, facilities and security experts to discuss and debate the future, and learn from best practices," says Sarah Williams from Turret Group, the organisers of the event.

As well as discussing virtualisation and data storage, topics such as fuel cells in the data centre and how to benefit from the next generation technologies will also be looked at, the news provider claims.

In related news, a survey by Forrester recently found that half of organisations questioned are currently implementing a green data centre strategy, while 40 per cent are considering the practise.ADNFCR-1851-ID-18798104-ADNFCR
