Backup laptop data 'to avoid distress'
Category: Data recovery
20 April, 2009
Companies and individuals alike have been advised to backup their data stored on laptops, as the loss of this information can be both costly and stressful, it has been stated.
David Silversmith wrote in his blog for Voxy.co.nz that just like people, computers need to be immunised against viruses and other bugs which can corrupt the data and their memory.
He said that laptop users should always look to keep an up-to-date copy of all the files contained on the machine in a separate offsite location and - especially for businesses - should consider having a professional
data management company keep hold of this data so that it can be quickly recovered in an emergency.
Meanwhile, Childs Capital owner Donna Childs recently commented that data recovery is a "powerful tool" for today's firms, because businesses which have a comprehensive backup and recovery plan in place are better able to handle data loss incidents.
